Indonesia Visa — Apply Yourself for an e-VOA

Direct Apply — no agent required Issuing authority: Directorate General of Immigration, Indonesia

Overview

ASEAN citizens can enter Indonesia visa-free. For most other nationalities — including the US, UK, EU and Australia — the standard route is the electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VOA), applied for entirely online before departure at the Directorate General of Immigration's official portal. You upload your documents, pay online, and receive an approval by email, typically within 24 hours. Nationalities not covered by the e-VOA list must apply for a visa at an Indonesian embassy or consulate instead.

Watch for lookalike sites. A number of commercial "Indonesia e-Visa" sites and paid agents offer to process the same self-service form for a markup. The government portal handles the entire process directly.
