Overview
ASEAN citizens can enter Indonesia visa-free. For most other nationalities — including the US, UK, EU and Australia — the standard route is the electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VOA), applied for entirely online before departure at the Directorate General of Immigration's official portal. You upload your documents, pay online, and receive an approval by email, typically within 24 hours. Nationalities not covered by the e-VOA list must apply for a visa at an Indonesian embassy or consulate instead.
Visa categories
| e-VOA (B1 — Tourism) | Single entry, 30-day stay, extendable once for another 30 days from within Indonesia. |

| Embassy visa | For nationalities not on the e-VOA eligible list — applied for in person or by mail at an Indonesian mission. |
