Overview
Myanmar's Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population runs a self-service e-Visa for tourism and business purposes at evisa.moip.gov.mm. It's genuinely direct-apply: you complete the form, upload documents, pay online, and receive an approval letter by email, without visiting an embassy. Some nationalities from ASEAN neighbors get 14–30 days visa-free instead of needing this at all. Purposes other than tourism or business — work, study, journalism — need the traditional stamped visa, applied for at a Myanmar embassy or consulate.
